Hoi allemaal,

Zoals jullie hieronder kunnen zien stagneert de Nederlandse vertaling van
de Mandrake-pakketten enigszins... dus hierbij nogmaals een oproep: wie
wil er nog een paar uurtjes besteden aan het produceren van de best
vertaalde linuxdistro tot nu toe?

Meld je bij mij!

groeten,

Subject: [MDK] Translations statistics

Kaixo!

  [message sent to cooker-i18n list, and to translators or people that
   showed interest in the translation of Mandrake Linux; if you are no
   longer interested just tell and I'll remove you from my bookmarks]

Here is the current status and the progression (or regression :-( ) relative
to the mdk 9.0 version for each of the 57 languages for which there are
transklations currently available for mdk tools.

8 languages teams have been able to keep their translations very near
to the 100% all the time, despite the various changes to translatable
strings that happenned during the early developpement of the future mdk 9.1;
congratulations to them, keep the good work!

3 lanuage teams have been able to improve the level of translation of their
language from unsuported or so-so in the mdk 9.0 to a near 100% now;
hats off for them! (Estonian, Finnish and Albanian); and 4 language teams
(Hebrew, Macedonian, Georgian, Uzbek), while they didn't reach a good level
yet, have done a very impressive advance, coming from nearly nowhere (less
than 5%) to abou 20%-30%, continue that path!
I hope your example will stimulate other teams.

In total, the evolution of 33 languages is good, as they increased the
level of translations; 8 others are stagnating; and the 16 remaining
ones had a bad evolution, decreasing in the classification.
I hope however that the next weeks will see that situation change.

I remind you that detailed statistics are available for each language
trough the http://www.mandrakelinux.com/xx.php3 pages (with 'xx' being
the language code).

For languages that are stagnating or that decreased, you are of course
welcome to help; you can write me if you are interested; and you can
talk to your friends about it, in case some of them would want to help.

And new languages are welcome too.

Thanks
