Ja, dit is een cryptografische term, meer bepaald "iets" wat gebruikt
wordt om iets anders te "representeren".  Men gaat er van uit dat wie
dat "token" kan voorleggen, de toelating heeft om de bijhorende rechten
te gebruiken.

Om nu meteen een mooie vertaling te vinden, da's iets anders...  ;-)
